As we are now at the stage of putting together the whole handbook, we are beginning to look at the structure of the book and what themes, colours and fonts we would like to use.
We have come to the conclusion we will use Calibri as our desired font as it is clear and easy to read. We will keep all information in black with an overall colour scheme of light blue and light grey for the time being but this is still open to change.
There are a few more pages that need to be completed but as the deadline has been extended, we should have all the pieces but together to format into InDesign CS3 by Monday or Tuesday next week.

After looking through a program called Adobe InDesign CS3 we came across a template for a booklet that would suit our idea very well. (Click to enlarge)
Group Meeting 14/01/2011
Our notes from the next group meeting that took place today.
We further discussed our progress so far, we now all have a mind map expressing our thoughts and ideas. We now are going to use these ideas and develop our individual pages.
James: has started to write his individual section of the booklet (scripting) and him and Hannah talked about their group section which is narrative structures. They decided that once they've got most of their individual section out of the way that they would begin the narrative section.
Marley:Unfortunally is away on holiday but will be back next week. We already know that he's begun working on his section.
Hannah: is going to continue to complete her individual section of the booklet and as James and her have spoken about our group section, we have decided to complete it once finished on our individual sections. She will also look into themes for booklets to begin putting together ideas for the final product.
Our action points for this week are to:
- Complete rough draft of first pages
- Decide on a colour scheme and theme for the handbook
Next meeting: Friday 22nd January 2011

Mind Map for Scripting
I compiled a lot of ideas by placing them into a mind map. This will help me later, when writing my scripting part of the booklet, as i can look at my mind map to find out what my ideas were.

Group Meeting 7/01/11
Our notes from the group meeting that took place today.
We discussed our progress so far, what we had done and what was the next move forward. We have decided that, to complete the task quicker we will write up our individual pieces in essay form and once they are complete, will bring them all together and design the final handbook to include pictures, tasks and a theme.
James: has started mind mapping for his section of the handbook. He's researching about scripts and other examples of handbooks to begin getting a plan together of how we should present ours.
Marley: has also started mind mapping for his section of the handbook. He's looking into particular tasks to make our handbook more interactive and also the presentation of the graphics.
Hannah: has began writing up the first page of the handbook for her section. She is looking into the presentation of the handbook including colour schemes, design programs and themes.
Our action points for this week are to:
- Complete rough draft of first pages
- Decide on a colour scheme and theme for the handbook
- Continue writing up pieces for the handbook and allocate Robs sections between the group
Next meeting: Friday 14th January 2011
